Another year means another Fast-a-thon is upon us! Every year, the Muslim Students Association has been proud to host this noble event on the UW campus for many years (nearly a decade) and with every year the comes and goes, it's popularity increases ever more. Perhaps what lures people to participate in this event is the fact that is costs nearly nothing for a person to qualify for a donation to a one of the many local charities in Washington State. What makes it even more interesting is the way you raise money. We in fact ask all participants to fast for a single day, sunrise to sunset, as the "ticket" needed to automatiaclly raise money. (Why fasting? Click here to find out!). This year we have chosen to join hands with Northwest Harvest. Want to raise money to help Washington's needy children and families? It's very simple, just follow the simple steps below:

1. Register for Fast-a-thon 2012 by clicking on the link below.
2. Fill out the necessary information.
3. Pledge to fast for one single day (sunrise to sunset) on January 27th, 2012 by abstaining from food and drink (sounds tough but it's really not that hard)
4. By filling out the form, you've automatically initiated a donation from MSAUW to Northwest Harvest. Easy huh? :)
