  • 07-31-11 7:36 p.m - Breaking News: Ramadhan Mubarak! By the grace of Allah (sw), Ramadhan 1432 will start Monday, Aug. 1st, 2011. Please take the time to read the released statement from Sh. Hamza below:
"Assalamu'alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu. After receiving numerous reports of naked-eye sighting of the new crescent moon of Ramadan, in conformance with the sunnah of the messenger of Allah, sallallahu`alayhi wa sallam, and the ijma` of the noble scholars of Islam throughout the ages, MSA-UW wishes you a blessed and accepted Ramadan, and reminds everyone to turn towards Allah, and not lose this sorely-needed, and most generous gift that Allah has sent us.We only live once, and despite the pressures we feel, we make our own choices in life. Let us make such choices that when we stand in front of Allah we will be proud of ourselves and not ashamed. Let us check email less often, sign out of facebook, rest our twitter accounts, turn off the images on our smartphone browsers, put our televisions into the closet, put away our i-pods/pads and revive the memory of the masjid, the book of Allah, the company of the righteous, and a life that has less entertainment and more purpose."
        Ramadan Mubarak!
